Hermes Moving LLC ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We never sell or resell your quote request to other moving companies, brokers, or lead resellers. When you contact us, you reach us — not an auction. Please also read "Advertising and analytics" below, which explains the one narrow sense in which some state privacy laws treat advertising cookies as "sharing."
We use analytics and advertising technologies on this website to understand how people find us and to measure whether our ads work. These may include Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads), Microsoft (Clarity), Meta, Reddit, and Nextdoor. They may set cookies or use pixels that collect information about your visit, including pages viewed and actions taken, and share it with those companies.
Because of this, some U.S. state privacy laws — including California's — treat our use of these technologies as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we receive no money for it and never hand your quote request to another mover. You can opt out at any time using the methods in "Your choices and rights" below.
To make that measurement more accurate, we also share a hashed version of your email address and phone number with those companies. Hashing scrambles the value irreversibly, so they cannot read your email or number — but it does let them recognise you if you already have an account with them. Hashed data is still personal information under California law, and the opt-outs below apply to it.
We never share your pickup address, your delivery address, or your moving date with any advertising company. Where you live and when your home will be empty is not marketing data, and we do not treat it as such.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser opt-out signals.
If you call us or we call you, the call may be recorded. Florida is a two-party consent state: where a call is recorded, you are notified at the beginning of the call, and you may ask us not to record or may end the call.
Some calls and messages are handled by an automated AI assistant. It will tell you it is an AI, and you can ask to speak to a person at any time. If you agree to receive calls or texts about your quote — including automated or prerecorded messages — we record that agreement, when you gave it, and the exact wording you were shown. Consent is never required in order to book a move, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to a text, telling us on a call, or emailing us.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as much as they need. These include our telephone and messaging provider, our email provider, our payment processor, our website and hosting providers, security providers, the analytics and advertising companies named above, and AI service providers that help process video estimates and assist on calls. We also share information where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We keep quote and move records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to us as a motor carrier, and then delete or de-identify them. Call recordings, transcripts and estimate photos and video are kept only as long as they are needed for the move, disputes, and quality review. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact details below.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
