Hermes Moving LLC (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Contact & move details — your name, phone, email, pickup and delivery addresses, move date, and what you’re moving.
Photos and video — if you use our video or photo estimate tool, we collect the images and video you record of your home and belongings, and the inventory derived from them.
Calls and messages — call records, and call recordings and transcripts where you have been notified at the start of the call; text and chat message content.
Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Automatic information — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and advertising click identifiers, collected using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
How we use it
To prepare your estimate and provide moving services.
To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email (see our SMS Terms).
To meet our legal obligations as a USDOT-registered motor carrier, including records we are required to keep.
To measure and improve our website, our advertising, and our service quality.
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Advertising and analytics
We use analytics and advertising technologies on this website to understand how people find us and to measure whether our ads work. These may include Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads) and Meta.
Because of this, some U.S. state privacy laws — including California’s — treat our use of these technologies as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we receive no money for it.
To make that measurement more accurate, we also share a hashed version of your email address and phone number with those companies. Hashing scrambles the value irreversibly.
We never share your pickup address, your delivery address, or your moving date with any advertising company. Where you live and when your home will be empty is not marketing data.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser opt-out signals.
Calls, texts, and our AI assistant
If you call us or we call you, the call may be recorded. Florida is a two-party consent state: where a call is recorded, you are notified at the beginning of the call, and you may ask us not to record.
Some calls and messages are handled by an automated AI assistant. It will tell you it is an AI, and you can ask to speak to a person at any time.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell, rent, or resell your quote request to other movers, brokers, or lead generators.
We do not use your photos or video for advertising.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Your choices and rights
Marketing messages — reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or tell us on a call.
Advertising cookies — turn on Global Privacy Control, use your browser’s cookie controls, or email us to opt out.
Access, correction, deletion and portability — email office@hermes-moving.com and we will respond within the time your state’s law requires.
California residents — you may request that we not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
How long we keep it, security & changes
We keep quote and move records as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our motor-carrier record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
