Included at no additional cost. Your shipment is covered at 60¢ per pound, per article. It’s economical, but it does not reflect the actual value of your goods — a 10-lb item is covered at $6 regardless of what it cost.
For fuller coverage, choose Full Value Protection. If an article is lost or damaged, we will repair it, replace it with like value, or settle for the amount of the loss — up to the declared value of your shipment.
You may select a deductible option; a valuation charge applies based on the declared value and deductible you choose. Articles of extraordinary value (over $100/lb) must be listed on a High-Value Inventory form to be fully covered.
Your selection is recorded on your estimate and bill of lading before loading. If you do not choose Full Value Protection in writing, your shipment moves under the default Released Value (60¢/lb) level.
